NASTC SLEEP APNEA SOLUTION
We just finished up the annual NASTC Conference and if you were not able to attend this year, mark it as a definite TO DO ITEM on next year’s bucket list. It’s a great event that we put on each year. Nashville is a fun place to visit and we are right downtown where all of the action is.
A quick reminder, now is the time to reserve your overnight O2 screening tests and 3 channel confirmation tests while your drivers are at their houses for the Christmas and New Year break. Traditionally it’s a great time to get these screening tests done and out of the way while your drivers are at home. Many of our drivers have the screening tests delivered to the house and spend the night in the sleeper unit even though they are home. We feel that our drivers are more comfortable sleeping where they normally sleep when they are on the road and we have a high success rate for valid tests.
Again, this is a great time to schedule your screening tests. Be proactive and get out in front of the apnea issue especially if your driver pool has medical cards expiring during the first quarter of 2016. Expect to have drivers put on 90 day cards and remember that the NASTC Sleep Apnea Solution is there to help your drivers negotiate the hurdles that are being put in front of them.
